Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Career Development Mentor for Young Adults. This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about helping individuals navigate their career paths and achieve their professional goals. As a pivotal member of our team, you will play a critical role in delivering job mentoring programs that guide young adults toward fulfilling careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops and training sessions aimed at enhancing resume writing, interview techniques, and job search strategies.
- Provide one-on-one mentoring to young adults, offering personalized advice and support tailored to their career aspirations.
- Collaborate with local businesses and organizations to create internship and job placement opportunities for program participants.
- Develop and implement engaging and impactful career development programs and activities.
- Maintain records of participant progress and program outcomes to continuously improve mentoring strategies.
- Act as a resource for educational institutions and community organizations seeking to support young adults in their career pursuits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Social Work, or a related field.
- Proven experience in career coaching, mentoring, or a related capacity, preferably with young adults.
- Strong understanding of the job market, including trends in hiring and the skills most sought after by employers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage and motivate diverse groups of individuals.
- Ability to build strong relationships and establish trust with mentees, while demonstrating empathy and patience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
