Job Description
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Survey Crew Members to join our team in Oshawa. In this role, you will assist in gathering crucial data for traffic management and ensuring precise measurements for project development. Your work will contribute significantly to the success of various projects, enabling us to maintain a safer and more efficient traffic system.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in surveying and data collection for traffic control projects.
- Operate surveying equipment including total stations, GPS units, and levels.
- Record measurements and data accurately for processing.
- Work closely with the Survey Crew Leader to ensure project specifications are met.
- Ensure that all surveying work conforms to safety standards and regulations.
- Analyze site conditions and make recommendations for job site assessments.
- Participate in regular team meetings to discuss project progress and concerns.
- Maintain survey equipment in good working order and troubleshoot as required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in surveying or a related field is an asset.
- Experience in survey crew jobs or relevant fieldwork preferred.
- Knowledge of surveying equipment and tools.
- Strong mathematical skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work effectively outdoors, in varying weather conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver’s license is required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and surveying software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
- Experience working in traffic control or related industries.
