Position Overview

As a Port Operations Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily port operations, ensuring that all activities comply with industry regulations and standards. Your proximity to the heart of our marine operations will offer you the chance to work closely with various teams, enhancing collaboration and communication across our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily port operations to ensure efficiency and safety.
  • Collaborate with pilots, ship agents, and the local harbor authority to facilitate seamless vessel movements.
  • Maintain records of shipping activities, arrivals, and departures, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance.
  • Develop and implement operational improvement strategies.
  • Assist in managing emergency response plans and conducting safety drills.
  • Participate in meetings with stakeholders to discuss port activities and industry developments.
  • Support the training of new team members in operational processes and protocols.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of services and operational practices for sustainability and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Transportation Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in port operations or a related maritime industry position.
  • Strong understanding of marine regulations and safety protocols.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficient in the use of port management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
