Position Summary
The In House Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and modifications on a wide range of vehicles and equipment within Atlantic Tow’s fleet. The successful candidate will have a background in maintenance and repairs, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to problem-solve under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on trucks and towing equipment
- Diagnose mechanical issues and execute repairs promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations
- Collaborate with the operations team to minimize downtime and ensure operational efficiency
- Assist in training new staff on maintenance protocols and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technician certification is a plus
- Proven experience in automotive maintenance or related fields
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems in vehicles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Valid driver’s license; a commercial driver’s license is an asset
